History 

Established in 1989 as a sole proprietorship, the main activities of Labcon General Contractor (LGC) had been construction works for the commercial, industrial and residential buildings, as well as subcontracting similar works from other main contractors.

Since 1993, LGC became one of the main contractor of Keppel Shipyard Ltd, Keppel FELS and Keppel Singmarine (these are part of KOM - Keppel Offshore & Marine group), undertook and completed numerous development projects at varies yards.

These projects include:
  • Road and Drainage works
  • Erection of Workshops including piling, machine bases and fitting-out works
  • Erection of Office Buildings including piling, structural, M&E, architectural, interior design and furniture fitting-out works
  • Construction of Tower Crane Foundation including piling works and installation of crane track
  • Construction of Work Platforms including bored piles works
  • Concrete Repair to dry dock, finger piers and services trenches
In addition to projects at Keppel Shipyard, LGC tendered, designed and built many projects in the private sector. Most of these projects come from referrals of our many satisfied clients. Some examples of completed projects include:
  • JTC Factories
  • Church Buildings
  • Residential Apartments
  • Detached Dwelling Houses

Labcon Contractor Pte Ltd (LCPL) was established and registered in 2000 to take over the business actitivies of LGC coupled with the aim of bringing the business to new heights. LCPL then went on to undertake multi-million projects. In 2009, LCPL under affiliation with Boustead Salcon Singapore, ventured overseas into uncharted water and undertook a small scale building construction project. Armed with the invaluable experience and capabilites, LCPL will be exploring overseas opportunities yet again in time to come.

Labcon is currently working to be ISO 9001, ISO 18001/SS506 and Bizsafe Star certified by early 2012.
